Singapore—The seaborne met coal was steady Monday from last Friday, with demand continuing to focus on February laycan cargoes in the premium hard coking coal segment. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol unchanged from last Friday at $149.50/mt CFR China and $136/mt FOB Australia Monday. Two February-loading 80,000 mt lots of Australian premium hard coking coal were transacted late Friday at $131/mt FOB Australia for Goonyella and $138/mt FOB Australia for Peak Downs.
