US met coal prices stable as seaborne market is supported

Atlantic met coal prices were broadly unchanged Tuesday, with the risk of supply-side disruptions and strong global coke prices keeping seaborne HCC spot prices steady. Many Atlantic buyers looked to be covered in immediate forward tons for a range of Australian and other origins. US high-vols and East Coast low-vol HCC spot demand was not being indicated, even for loadings further out in the Q2 period.
