Import prices for Turkish ferrous scrap took another hit Thursday as both price indications and market deals were heard at lower levels. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $228.50/mt CFR Thursday, down $4.50 from Wednesday. While some market players awaited the IREPAS conference on the weekend to gain clarity on pricing, more European deals were heard in the market Tuesday.
