Seaborne iron ore cargo prices flat, ample availability

Singapore—Seaborne iron ore prices remained largely stable ahead of winter production cuts, on improving availability of seaborne cargoes. S&P Global Platts assessed the 62% Fe Iron Ore Index at $81.15/dry mt CFR North China Wednesday, up 15 cents/dmt from Tuesday. The front-month December TSI swap was up 10 cents/dmt from Tuesday at $79.30/dmt Wednesday. Improved liquidity in the seaborne market was observed, with some traders noting reselling opportunities to lower premium levels for Australian cargoes.
