The 16 Asian countries participating in the regional comprehensive economic partnership, or RCEP, are confident that a free-trade pact can be concluded within this year, the ministers said over the weekend. Trade ministers from Australia, China, Japan, Indonesia and 12 ASEAN countries met in Siem Reap in Cambodia on Saturday to review developments over bilateral trade negotiations and discussions on the text of the basic agreement.
