The rise in Turkish rebar takes a breather, prices strong

Turkey's domestic rebar market took a breather Friday, following successive price hikes on the back of sharp lira depreciation and some availability issues. Mills' domestic rebar prices reached as high as $545-$550/mt ex-works, depending upon region. Some major producers' domestic order books, meanwhile, were closed Friday, though some were still accepting orders for late-December delivery.
