An end-October target date for a US preliminary determination in the China/Vietnam sheet duty circumvention inquiry apparently has passed with no news from the US Commerce Department. The original planned date was August 31. The provisional decision was delayed until mid-October and then delayed again to late October. But that self-imposed deadline has come and gone without a statement from Commerce on the determination. Commerce also has not issued an updated timeline for the decision.
