In spite of the growing trend of steel production in Iran, the country’s apparent consumption is showing a decline, S&P Global Platts learned from the Iranian Steel Producers Association’s report published in Tehran According to the report, 13 million mt of finished steel were consumed in Iran during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21–November 21), a 4% decrease compared with the same period last year.
