Xingtai city, located in northern China's Hebei province, has recently released its winteroutput cut plans for Xingtai Iron & Steel and Delong Iron & Steel, ordering them to lowerblast furnace utilization rates by 50% and 40% over November 15 to March 15.During the 120 days of the winter heating season, total pig iron capacity left unused at thetwo steelmakers would be about 0.85 million metric tons.
