US flat-rolled steel prices dropped on Tuesday as mills continued to have Decemberavailability for hot-rolled coil.The daily Platts TSI US HRC assessment fell by $5/st to $776/st, while the daily Platts TSIUS cold-rolled coil assessment dropped by $7.25/st to $871.25/st.A mini-mill was still indicating HRC delivery lead times of December 10, according to onebuy-side source. There were at least two other mini-mills with December availability aswell, said the buyer. He did not provide any current HRC pricing as he had not bought orinquired about any orders with mills recently.
