Asian HRC stable amid firm Chinese domestic prices

Asian hot-rolled coil pricing started the week on a stable note, as mills kept export offers unchanged or stopped quoting, given strong Chinese domestic prices. Overseas buyers, meanwhile, remained cautious, waiting for clearer price direction. S&P Global Platts assessed SS400 HRC 3 mm thick at $575/mt FOB China on Monday, unchanged from Friday. On a CFR Southeast Asia basis, the same grade of coil was assessed at $584/mt, down $1/mt from Friday.
