Turkish CRC exports to US slump, price direction unclear

Turkey's cold-rolled coil exports fell notably by 24% year on year in the first half to 171,470 mt due to the sharp fall in exports to the US, one of its main CRC export markets, amid the Section 232 tariff investigation and implementation. This declining trend is expected to accelerate in the second half, following US President Donald Trump's decision to double the 232 tariff to 50% for Turkish steel.
