Cuba's Antillana de Acero to modernize, boost longs output

Cuban long steel producer Antillana de Acero plans to soon start the modernization of its equipment and to initially increase its long products production capacity to 250,000 mt/year, ultimately raising it to 380,000 mt/year, a source at the company said Friday. Antillana de Acero's current capacity is 150,000 mt/year of long products. It also has 150,000 mt/year of stainless or carbon semi-finished steel capacity.
