Slab prices in Asia continued to fall for the second consecutive month as new slab suppliers were offering at competitive prices in order to attract sales. S&P Global Platts assessed monthly prices of SAE1008, SAE1006 or equivalent grade base slab at $530-$540/mt CFR Southeast Asia, with a midpoint of $535/mt, down $15/mt from June.
