Turkish mills' scrap imports from US, CIS rise sharply

Turkish steel mills imported 7.3 million mt of scrap from their global suppliers in the first four months of the year, 23% more than in the same period of last year. Imports from the CIS region and the US rose especially sharply, according to the latest Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD) data.
