Khouzestan Steel Co (KSC) has acquired a 67% stake in NIMIDCO, an Iranian mining and mine processing company, from an investment company affiliated with the Iranian governmental bank, BMI, according the Iranian Steel Producer's Association (ISPA) website. NIMIDCO has mining projects in the Sangan iron ore reserve, in the northeast of Iran, so the move will increase KSC's ability to supply raw materials for future expansions. The value of the transaction was reported as IRR 12.4 trillion ($329 million).
