Brazilian steel slab export-oriented sellers increased their offers levels but saw no buyers willing to commit to higher prices this week. S&P Global Platts assessed the weekly Brazilian export steel slab price stable at $532.50/mt FOB Brazilian ports, based on a range of $530-$535/mt of bids and offers. "Buyers were quite surprised with the higher offers," a trader said, adding that mills have pushed values to as much as $545/mt FOB for April deliveries.
