China's Shagang slashes early-December rebar prices

China’s largest privately owned steelmaker, Jiangsu Shagang Group, slashed its domesticrebar list prices by a sizeable Yuan 500/mt ($72/mt) for sales over December 1-10, a millsource said.The price of Shagang’s 16-25 mm diameter HRB 400 rebar is now Yuan 4,100/mt,including 16% VAT, the source said. It takes the current rebar sales price to its lowestlevel since early May.
