Black Sea coil and slab prices continued higher Sept. 9 amid tighter supply from the CIS sources, market players said. A trader source said there were already reduced number of offers for Russian hot-rolled coils due to improving demand in the Russian local market. And the collapse of an iron ore conveyor at the country’s largest supplier NLMK on Sept. 7 raised questions about the future availability.
