The Asian hot rolled coil market rose further on July 23, in line with higher offers and deals amid a bullish sentiment mainly supported by rising Chinese steel futures and physical prices, which both hit the highest point in one year. S&P Global Platts assessed SS400 HRC 3 mm thick at $470/mt FOB China on July 23, up $5/mt day on day. On a CFR Southeast Asia basis, the same grade of coil was assessed at $465/mt, up $5/mt day on day.
