Chinese rebar and billet prices were unchanged amid steady domestic market, with Southeast Asian prices also flat as regional buyers waited on the sidelines. China 5SP 150 mm square bar spot levels were assessed at a midpoint of $446/mt FOB China on Oct. 21, unchanged from Oct. 21. Chinese spot prices rose in the morning when rebar futures took a strong uptick, but ended the day almost unchanged after futures showed weakness in the afternoon session, said a northern Chinabased trader.
