The Asian hot-rolled coil market continued to fall Monday, amid sluggish trading and weak market sentiment which saw most buyers waiting on the sidelines. S&P Global Platts assessed SS400 HRC 3 mm thick at $468/mt FOB China on Monday, down $8/mt from Friday. On a CFR Southeast Asia basis, the same grade of coil was assessed at $465/mt, down $5/mt from Friday. The Chinese domestic market on Monday fell to its lowest level since end-June 2017, Platts data showed.
