Turkish import scrap prices rise further on fresh July cargoes

Deepsea Turkish import scrap prices inched upwards June 12, as four further cargoes were heard booked towards the end of the week. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $266.75/mt CFR June 12, up $1.25/mt on day. A Baltic-origin cargo totaling around 30,000 mt was booked June 11 by an Iskenderun mill, with HMS 1/2 (80:20) at $267/mt CFR, and bonus scrap at $277/mt CFR. The deal was confirmed by the buyer and the sell-side.
