Turkish mills' HRC and CRC offer prices jump

Turkish flat steel producers, whose order books are full till year-end with the support of strong export sales, sharply increased their hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil prices by around $20-$25/mt, S&P Global Platts learned Nov. 5. Strong EU demand, scrap costs, availability issues (especially in CRC) and higher Chinese steel pricing are supporting mills' quotations, although sharp lira depreciation has notably reduced trade activities in the domestic market.
