US ITC continues probe of Mexican steel wire mesh imports

The US International Trade Commission has voted to continue antidumping and countervailing duty investigations related to imports of steel standard welded wire mesh from Mexico, finding there was a reasonable indication the US industry was materially injured by such imports. As a result of the ITC’s affirmative determinations, the Department of Commerce will continue its investigations of imports of standard steel welded wire mesh from Mexico, with its preliminary countervailing duty determination due on or about Sept. 23, and its preliminary antidumping duty determination due on or about Dec. 7, the ITC said Aug. 13.
