Wide-flanged H-beam import prices into Southeast Asia softened in May as demand remained sluggish amid regional construction slowdowns. S&P Global Platts assessed the May price of wide-flanged S275JR H-beams at $510/mt CFR Southeast Asia, down $10/mt from a month ago. Buyers in Singapore stayed on the sidelines through May as the coronavirus pandemic continued to hinder any pickup in downstream demand.
