S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $292.50/mt CFR on Sept. 29, down 50 cents/mt on day. A Turkish trading source cited tradable values for Baltic-origin HMS 1/2 (80:20) at $290-$291/mt CFR, with EU-origin HMS 1/2 (80:20) at $285/mt CFR, and a limited number of US-origin cargoes likely to be possible at $290-$295/mt CFR, with most US sellers targeting $295/mt CFR and above.
