Turkey's Q1 seamless pipe imports from China soar, additional duties imposed

After an 11% decline seen in 2019, due to an industrial slowdown in Turkey and low infrastructure investments, Turkey's seamless pipe imports rose sharply in the first quarter of 2020, as material from China roughly doubled year on year in that period to 30,200 mt, amid a recovery in consumption figures before coronavirus hit demand in Turkey as of mid-March.
