Asian hot-rolled prices rose slightly on Sept. 3 as higher offers continued to push up bids and deals in Vietnam, while Chinese domestic prices remained rangebound. S&P Global Platts assessed SAE1006 HRC at $525/mt FOB China, up $3/mt on the day. On a CFR Southeast Asia basis, the same grade of coil was assessed at $530/mt, up $1/mt on the day. In Vietnam, new deals with price as high as $530/mt CFR were reported when local market resumed after a public holiday on Sept. 2.
