Feng Hsin Iron and Steel, Taiwan’s leading electric arc furnace steelmaker, has kept its domestic bids for scrap steady for the week of Aug. 10 as local rebar demand not strong enough to support higher prices, a source from the company said. The company’s bid for local HMS I/II 80:20 was unchanged from a week ago at T$7,900/mt ($269/mt) for deliveries to its Taichung mill.
