Import prices for Turkish scrap were unchanged Wednesday as industry players digested the heavy price drop on the previous day that left the market somewhat divided on both pricing and direction. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $252/mt CFR, unchanged on the day. Following the sharp $15.50/mt drop on Tuesday on a Baltic deep-sea booking, market activity continued with several buyers as well as a Baltic and a US seller heard in the market in ongoing negotiations.
