Nucor expects Q3 earnings to improve with higher mill utilization

Nucor expects its third quarter earnings to improve compared with Q2 as utilization rates at the company's steel mills has improved, it said Sept. 17. Nucor expects its Q3 earnings to be in the range 50 cents to 55 cents per diluted share. This compares with Q2 earnings of 36 cents per diluted share, or $108.9 million in net income on sales of $4.33 billion.
