According to the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data observed by S&P Global Platts, Turkish CRC imports rose by 21% year on year to 413,800 mt in the first half. Imports especially from South Korea increased substantially in H1, increasing the pressure on Turkish mills' CRC pricing. Russia remained Turkey's largest CRC supplier by far in January-June at 228,200 mt, up from 182,900 mt in the same period the previous year, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, while Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine reached 16,150 mt in that period.
