India's Tata Steel posts 2% on year rise in Oct-Dec output

India's Tata Steel produced about 4.46 million mt of crude steel over October-December 2019, up 1.8%on the year, data from the company showed Friday, amid higher exports.The October-December production was 0.9% lower than the 4.5 million mt posted for July-September2019, the company said.Sales for the October-December quarter – the third quarter of the Indian financial year – were up 17%from the second quarter amid "improved market sentiment," it said.
