Stainless steel coil prices in the Foshan spot market in south China’s Guangdong province extended the decline in February, as downstream demand was yet to recover due to the coronavirus outbreak, along with the weakened nickel prices. S&P Global Platts assessed grade 304, 3 mm thick hot-rolled coil at Yuan 12,850/mt ($1,840/mt) exwarehouse Friday, down Yuan 550/mt on the month. Grade 304, 2 mm thick cold-rolled coil was assessed at Yuan 13,675/mt ex-warehouse, down Yuan 750/mt on the month.
