Taiwan's August vehicle output falls 17% amid 15% sales drop

Taiwan produced 12,675 vehicles in August, down 17.1% from 15,297 vehicles year onyear, data released by the Taiwan Transportation Vehicle Manufacturers Associationshowed, amid lower sales.About 12,229 vehicles were sold locally in August, down 15.1% from 14,401 vehicles theyear before, while exports more than doubled to 2,675 vehicles against 1,103 vehicles theprevious year.
