Major Turkish integrated long steel producer Kardemir decreased its lira-denominated pigiron prices Tuesday, amid some appreciation in Turkish lira against the US dollar. Importoffers from the CIS region, however remained largely flat.Kardemir pulled down its foundry pig iron price by Lira 60/mt to TRY 2,175-2,210 ($392-$398/mt) ex-works, while steelmaking pig iron prices fell by the same amount to Lira2,090-2,125 ($376-$382/mt) ex-works. The mill's new list prices, were only slightly loweron a dollar basis.
