Softer end to 2018 for Chinese real estate prices

New home prices, excluding government-subsidized housing, rose in December in 59 ofthe 70 Chinese cities monitored by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Prices fell ineight cities and were unchanged in three. This was down from 63 cities that rose and eightthat fell in November.New home prices in December saw a slight upturn of 1.3% on month in four first tiercities, among which Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen witnessed rise of 1.0%,0.6%, 3.0% and 0.4% respectively.
