Iranian steel consumption falls, output increases

In spite of growing steel production in Iran, the country’s apparent consumption is showinga decline, S&P Global Platts learned from the Iranian Steel Producers Association’s reportpublished in Tehran.According to the report, 14.51 million mt of finished steel was consumed in Iran during thefirst nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21–December 21), a 5% decreasecompared to the same period last year.
