Ship scrap prices increase in Turkey

Domestic ship scrap buying prices in Turkey rose a further $5/mt on day Friday, for the second consecutive day; going as high as $270/mt, topping import prices Import scrap prices were around $260/mt CFR in Turkish mills' latest HMS 1/2 80:20. Turkish mills have also continued to raise their billet prices, amid some ongoing availability issues, higher imported billet offer prices and the rise seen in scrap pricing.
