Hebei Tangshan issues March-September output cut orders

Hebei's Tangshan city government has officially announced output cut plans for March-September 2019. However, some market participants said it remained to be seen how wellthe plan would be implemented, as the ongoing winter steel output cuts had turned out tobe poorly conducted.It ordered 50% utilization cut at sintering and pellet making plants in March, while overApril-September these plants will be divided into two groups, each taking a 50% cut for athree-month period. Meanwhile, over the same period, steel mills are ordered to continueblast furnace output cuts on the same level of winter heating season.
