CIS coil export offers scarce as mills seek price direction

CIS steelmakers are reluctant to give firm export offers for hot- and cold-rolled coils in theBlack Sea market due to the holiday season in major export outlets, including Turkey,Egypt and the Middle East.Despite the lack of offers, producers are seeking bids, a trader said. He put a workableprice for HRC at $470/mt FOB Black Sea, July-August shipment. A CIS producer saw bidsat $450-$460/mt FOB for HRC noting there were no deals around those levels.
