CAP Mineria's Q1 iron ore shipments off 43% on year

CAP Mineria, the mining branch of Chilean integrated steelmaker CAP Group, delivered1.85 million mt of iron ore products in the first quarter of the year, down 42.6% from 3.23million mt in Q1 2018, CAP Group said Tuesday.Exports accounted for 1.65 million mt, down 44.2% year on year from 2.96 million mt,CAP Group said in its latest financial statement. CAP Mineria shipped 206,000 mtdomestically, down 24.8% from 274,000 mt a year earlier.
