Turkish rebar market remains silent, prices soften slightly

The Turkish rebar market started the first trading day of the week on a subdued noteMonday, as market participants -- recently returned from an Eid-holiday -- mostlypreferred to gauge domestic and export market conditions before making bookings.Still, pressure on Turkish rebar pricing has continued. Turkish mills, squeezed betweenhigh input costs and weak demand, were trying to keep their domestic and export offersrelatively flat on a dollar basis, but some slight discounts had started to creep into the slowmarket.
