TSI launches 3rd scrap price series - for US domestic scrap

The Steel Index (TSI) launched its third scrap reference price series last Friday, covering USdomestic shredded obsolete scrap, after completing the validation phase. For the weekending 25 February, the US domestic scrap price was almost unchanged from the previousweek’s level at $455/long ton, as export interest kept the price firm. This is $19/lt lower thanthe unofficial price four weeks ago.
