Both billet and rebar were firm in Turkey and parts of Europe last week; however, it wouldseem this was probably a short seasonal rebound. In South East Asia, rebar buying wassluggish; US-based Nucor also cut its price by $20/s.t. Worldwide scrap prices were mixed,though Turkish import prices and some European domestic prices rose marginally. Globallysentiment was not so strong.
