Grange Resources will receive a US$70m cash windfall after retrospectively adjustingcontract prices for its iron ore magnetite pellets sold between 1 April 2010 and end-March thisyear.The Perth-based company said it had reached agreement with its major customers,BlueScope Steel and China’s Shagang Group, on a new pricing mechanism based on Platts62% index price, and adjusted for Grange’s Savage River pellets which grade 65% Fe. Aspokeswoman for the company told Steel Business Briefing that the new pricingmechanism included a $50/tonne pellet premium.
