摘要

Metamaterial resonant device consisted of U-shaped resonator embedded with metallic split-ring having two gaps is demonstrated, which can achieve multiple-band filtering at terahertz frequency. Four filtering dips are realized in a very narrow range of less than 1 THz, which is obviously superior to previous designs that multiple-band filtering dips appear in a fairly wide range. Near-field distributions of each resonance are given to reveal the mechanism of multiple-band filtering. Moreover, more filtering bands can be obtained in the same frequency range through appropriate structure optimization. The multiple-band filtering devices can find large application prospects in filtering, imaging, sensing etc.
