UK IGas Well Misses Shale Gas Target

UK shale explorer IGas has failed to find its intended shale gas target after drilling an exploration well at its Tinker Lane site in Nottinghamshire, northeast England. The company spudded the well last month, targeting the Bowland Shale play, which the British Geological Survey estimated in 2013 held roughly 1,329 Tcf (38 Tcm) of gas in place (OD Dec.18'18).
