US Energy Secretary Rick Perry on Tuesday pushed a group of oil and gas officials to focus on the economically strapped Appalachian region. "Unfortunately, even though Appalachian natural gas and methane are on par with being the cheapest in the world, we’re missing that opportunity at this particular point in time,” he told the National Petroleum Council in Washington.
